Community Christmas Dinner Unbelievably, 2020 was to be our 7th year opening up a space for people to enjoy fun and friendship as well as a delicious meal on Christmas Day. This year hasn’t turned out as anyone would have imagined and, in order to help protect each other, we have had to make the sad decision not to celebrate Christmas all together. However, we couldn’t just leave it as that! At the heart of the Community Dinners is a desire to provide food for those who need it but also a friendly face and some conversation for many who find themselves alone during this festive period. Following the isolation and hardship that Covid19 has brought with it, we feel that now, more than ever, this needs to continue happening while still following the health and safety guidance. For this reason we have decided to take the Christmas Dinner out into the heart of the community and deliver a hearty meal, some presents and a much needed Christmas cheer to the doorsteps of those who need it. Once again, this will be a completely free service and we thank all our generous supporters and volunteers for their help in making this happen.
