VISION SUNDAY

This past Sunday I was excited to share the 2019 vision with the church and talk about The Church I See

Vision is the ability to catch a glimpse of what God wants to do in you, through you and for you

If you missed it, here are the highlights

1. The church I see is a church on the move

We have loved being a portable church and have been grateful for the opportunity to gather in Drumragh College and watch God bring life, love and hope to the heart of the church, transform the culture, heal past hurts and save lives. We feel that God is giving us a shift in focus and that there is a home for us in the heart of Omagh that will operate as a centre of operations allowing us to minister, gather and work under the one roof in the same space. This year will see us proactively move towards securing a space.

2. The church I see is a church in Community

For the last 5 years we have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with Christian Churches Ireland and feel that the time is right for us to make that relationship official. This year Omagh Community Church will become a member church of ccireland.ie

3. The church I see is a church that reaches out

The mission of the church continues to seek to bring life, love and hope to the heart of Omagh. As the county town we believe we have a significant opportunity to increase our influence within the county to not only impact Omagh but to see TYRONE TRANSFORMED. This year we hope to develop strategy that will enable us to increase our sphere of influence to see our county transformed.

4. The church I see is a church that reaches in

At Omagh Community Church we place a high sense of value on people and providing care and support for those people. Pastoral Care has always been a priority in the church and this year will see the development of Pastoral Care Team that we believe will bring life, love and hope to the heart of the church.

5. The church I see is a church with a great vibe

Our vision shapes our values with in turn creates our vibe (culture)

As a church we value community, generosity, compassion, people and courage. In the coming days weeks and months we hope that these values will fully come to life and continue to be cultural DNA of Omagh Community Church.

Love and appreciate you and look forward to seeing you soon.
